The story
Green bag was born because of a thing my grandmother always did.
Back when I was a kid, we used to have a big plastic bag full of other bags at home. It was kind of our way to reuse everything, but as the bag started to get bigger and bigger, we could not even reuse all the items and it started taking up too much space.
Plastic was starting to take over our home, and we thought about a way to solve this problem. There was an easy solution, getting back to the basics: what my grandmother used to go grocery shopping before plastic was even invented.
Mesh bags, tote bags… We started bringing our own items to buy, as we knew we didn’t need any more plastic in our lives. She also sewed herself a green tote for me to use because she knew green was my favorite color.
That was a thoughtful gift and I wished more people could have it. That way, my grandmother and I started thinking about a way to share our new sight of the plastic problem with the rest of the world, and that is the reason we created Green Bag
